Azam Bejou and David Bejou

ABSTRACT:

The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence into human teams has brought about a fundamental change in organizational dynamics, necessitating a re-examination of conventional leadership models to effectively navigate the complex ethical and legal dimensions inherent in collaborative decision-making processes. This research endeavors to critically analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of various leadership models in the context of human-AI teams, with a specific focus on their ability to foster ethical conduct and ensure legal compliance. By synthesizing insights from organizational behavior, ethical theory, and legal jurisprudence, this study aims to identify best practices for cultivating responsible and accountable human-AI collaborations. The exploration extends to examining the challenges associated with aligning AI agents with human values and objectives, as well as addressing the underutilization of AI’s capabilities as genuine team members (Lou et al., 2025). This research provides practical guidance for organizations seeking to leverage the transformative power of human-AI teams, while prioritizing ethical principles and legal compliance. The ascendance of Agentic AI across diverse sectors, including robotics, healthcare, autonomous vehicles, and financial services, necessitates a comprehensive examination of the technical challenges and ethical considerations intrinsic to autonomous systems (Viswanathan, 2025). The growing adoption of AI in organizational leadership is fundamentally reshaping traditional leadership practices and team dynamics (Frimpong & Wolfs, 2024). The exploration of human-AI interaction reveals a spectrum of roles for AI, evolving from mere tools to active advisors and potential substitutes for human leaders (Quaquebeke & Gerpott, 2023).
