Üzeyir (Üzeyir Yıldız)
ABSTRACT:
This paper examines the growth trajectory, journals, worldwide distribution authors and scientific production in the field of competing institutional logics by adopting bibliometric analysis. A total of 476 publications were chosen from the Web of Science database that were diligently examined to reach insightful results. The publications were identified by limiting search in Web of Science database through keywords, namely, competing institutional logics, conflicting institutional logics, contradictory institutional logics, rival institutional logics, diverging institutional logics, multiple institutional logics or different institutional logics, from 2005 to 2025 in articles. The data were analyzed by year, source of publication, author, country and term analysis. To aid the investigation, the VOSwiever tool was used. The findings reveal that the Accounting Auditing Accountability Journal, Journal of Business Ethics and Organization Studies are the three key journals publishing in competing institutional logics. The USA and the UK are the two main countries that dominate the publication production. The most productive authors are Reay, T. and Andersson, T. The analysis and findings are only limited to data retrieved from the Web of Sciences database. The findings of this paper provide insights to the researchers on the development of competing institutional logics research. This study also distinguishes itself in its emphasis on bibliometric insights and thematic emphasis on competing institutional logics, contributing to the advancement of knowledge in the field and offering insightful avenues for future research.
