ABSTRACT:

An examination and exploration into the psychosocial pandemic condition of communities of color relative to grief, mourning and bereavement in the face of crime, trauma, systemic racism and family dysfunction.  Communities of color in crises are analyzed in terms of mental health, trauma impact and causal factors that contribute to drug abuse, gang violence, community chaos, and family relationships in peril.  Qualitative and Observational research methodology is utilized to provide both etic and emic perspectives on problems, pain and plausible prevention, intervention and post-intervention for people of color.
