The Driving Mechanism of Green Learning Orientation
Tingting Jin
ABSTRACT:
This study explores four antecedent factors promote the implementation of green learning orientation in start-ups in the context of sustainable business, focusing on how start-ups configure four antecedents to achieve a high level of green learning orientation. From the perspective of strategic choice (environment, managers, and organizational structure), this study deeply explores the factors affecting green learning orientation, including green transformational leadership style, green transactional leadership style, market turbulence, and organizational decentralization. Through fsQCA analysis, this study identifies 3 configurations that promote green learning orientation. The research results emphasize that the existence of green transformational leadership style and a strong level of market turbulence, greatly helps companies (especially start-ups) establish a green learning orientation. Furthermore, this study shows that the configuration of green leadership style with market turbulence and/or organizational decentralization plays a crucial role in the implementation of green learning orientation. This study aims to provide start-ups that want to adopt a green learning orientation with suggestions on how to set up different antecedents to achieve a high level of green learning orientation and green development. Additionally, provides advice on choices of strategic orientation for start-ups or entrepreneurs preparing to start a business, as well as contribute to the literature in this area.
