ABSTRACT:

The influence of culture on digitalization and green innovation adoption in small and mediumsized enterprises (SMEs), the role of Human Resources manager (HRM). The adoption of several Industry 4.0 technologies, including the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS), Blockchain technology (BCT), and other related innovations, has led to the digitalization of business. Coupled with the increasing rate of business collapse about 90 percent of new SME ventures fail, traceable to strategic policy failure. However, the SMEs’ propensity for growth and profitability is directly linked to their ability to digitalize and inculcate innovations for competitiveness. The study sought to assess the impact of Culture on digitalization and green innovation adoption in small and medium-sized enterprises and the role of Human resource managers. Using purposive sampling the study relied on administered questionnaires from 231 manufacturing SMEs in Ghana. The study results were analyzed using PLS-SEM and the findings indicated that Cultural factors significantly impact digital technology usage and green innovation implementation. As such the human resource department ought to develop matching policies that ensure the elimination of these barriers for successful digital platform implementation.
