ABSTRACT:

As global markets face increasing pressure to align with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) standards, the integration of advanced technologies has become a strategic imperative for modern management. This research investigates the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and predictive analytics in optimizing supply chain sustainability, specifically focusing on emerging market dynamics. While traditional supply chain models often prioritize cost-efficiency at the expense of environmental impact, AI-driven tools offer the capacity to monitor real-time carbon footprints, predict resource waste, and ensure ethical sourcing through automated transparency. This paper employs a mixed-methods approach, combining a systematic literature review with case study analyses of multinational firms that have successfully implemented AI for ESG tracking. Preliminary findings suggest that AI-enhanced visibility reduces operational waste by up to 15% and significantly mitigates reputational risks associated with non-compliant suppliers. Furthermore, the study explores the barriers to adoption, including high initial capital expenditure and the “digital divide” in developing economies. The paper concludes by proposing a strategic framework for managers to integrate AI tools into their existing business models, arguing that technological adoption is no longer a luxury but a fundamental requirement for long-term corporate resilience. By bridging the gap between applied research and practical management, this study contributes to the ongoing discourse on how digital transformation can drive the global transition toward a circular economy.
