ABSTRACT:
Faced with growing healthcare needs and pressure on public facilities, private clinics in Bamako play a crucial role in access to medical services in Mali. However, their performance is hindered by intuitive management, lack of transparency, limited managerial training, and absence of standardized procedures.
This mixed-method study analyzes the impact of structured medical entrepreneurship on the economic, organizational, and clinical performance of private clinics.
Findings show that transparency, governance, digitalization, and training have a significant positive effect on profitability, staff motivation, and patient perception. The study highlights the need for management models adapted to the African context to strengthen the resilience of the private health sector. These conclusions provide an operational basis for policymakers, investors, and clinic promoters in West Africa.
