Danae Papadopoulou, Maria Giortsou, Eva Maria Sarigiannidou
ABSTRACT:
The CREDIT Vibes project is a cutting-edge initiative, grounded in the principles of Creativity, Research, Education, Development, Innovation, and Transformation. The vision of CREDIT Vibes is to promote healthy food/feed, an eco-friendly environment, and sustainable living on a healthy planet. Accepted under the Horizon Europe Program’s Twinning Western Balkans Call, the project is led by the Maize Research Institute Zemun Polje (MRI) of Serbia, a recognized institution dedicated to sustainable organic agriculture through cutting-edge research and technology.
In this endeavour, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), a major educational and research organization known for its high scientific level, serves as a partner/mentor, to support MRI in the implementation of a scientific roadmap through the transfer of knowledge and the mobility of both its research and administrative staff. This collaboration aims to strengthen the scientific community, making their ideas achievable and implementable.
The implementation of this scientific roadmap is facilitated by AUTH’s mentorship through the following strategic activities:
• Providing specialized knowledge to highly skilled researchers and non-research staff to support the scientific community.
• Short-term staff exchanges for scientific and administrative employees for the HR sector, and the development of the MRI’s Project Management Office and Technology Transfer Office
• Developing roles such as “Project Scouts” and “Product Development Managers,” who act as mediators between scientists and administration staff.
• Utilizing new educational methods such as STEM, soft skills, entrepreneurship training, summer/winter schools, experts’ visits, and on-site/virtual training.
• Providing support on trial design, capacity building, HR strategy, and intellectual property protection strategy implementation.
