ABSTRACT:

In the context of globalization and the ongoing transformation of the tourism industry, higher education institutions face growing responsibility for preparing students to work effectively in multicultural and innovation-driven professional environments. This study explores how the integration of innovative pedagogical technologies can support the development of global tourism culture among university students. The research is grounded in both theoretical analysis and empirical classroom practice. Particular attention is paid to start-up project–based learning as an integrative instructional approach that combines project-based learning, collaborative interaction, authentic problem-solving, and reflective practice within tourism education.

The study aims to identify pedagogical conditions and instructional strategies that effectively foster students’ global tourism culture, including intercultural communication skills, professional competence, innovative thinking, and awareness of sustainable tourism principles. A mixed-method research design was employed, incorporating classroom observations, student surveys, diagnostic assessments, and an experimental framework with control and experimental groups.

The findings demonstrate that students engaged in start-up project–based learning show a significantly higher level of global tourism culture compared to those taught through traditional methods. Overall, the results highlight the importance of innovative pedagogical technologies in enhancing tourism education and preparing culturally aware, adaptable, and globally competent future tourism professionals.
