ABSTRACT:

In contemporary education, interdisciplinary approaches are increasingly recognized as essential to high-quality learning. This interdisciplinary approach is particularly significant in music education, as it facilitates transcending traditional teaching methods, fosters student creativity, and opens new pathways for integrating music with other art forms and scientific disciplines. Such integration enriches the teaching process and enhances the overall educational experience. This paper explores the theoretical foundations of interdisciplinary music education and examines teaching strategies that facilitate the integration of music with other disciplines. A review of relevant literature highlights the benefits of this approach, particularly in fostering creative and critical thinking and enriching instructional practices. The interdisciplinary approach to music education is analyzed within general education schools, solfeggio lessons, and other theoretical subjects in music schools. Contemporary teaching methods that promote cross-curricular integration, such as project-based and problem-based learning, collaborative work, and the use of digital technologies, are given special attention. Through practical examples and case studies, this study investigates how interdisciplinary teaching can enhance music education and contribute to the development of key student competencies. The conclusion offers guidelines for further developing interdisciplinary approaches in music education and presents recommendations for educators seeking to integrate music with other subjects.
