This study examines the position of autistic children in the Greek school system, focusing on a specific student case. Autism impacts learning and socialization, creating challenges for both children and their teachers. This is a descriptive study of an autistic child in a Greek rural school. The study focuses on the challenges and experiences of the child within the educational system, highlighting the social and academic difficulties faced by children with autism in a rural context. It explores how the child interacts with peers, teachers, and the learning environment. The study emphasizes the importance of individualized teaching and the need for awareness and sensitivity from educators and classmates. It concludes with recommendations for improving the integration and support of autistic children in rural Greek schools, stressing the need for further training and greater collaboration between teachers, parents, and the community.
