Cristina Greco, Luca Andrea Ludovico
ABSTRACT:
Artificial intelligence (AI) is becoming a key resource in music education, offering tools to personalize learning, analyze progress, and provide immediate feedback. This study aims to examine the potential of AI in music teaching and learning by reviewing literature from the past five years to explore how AI systems can enhance educational practices in higher education. From a quantitative perspective, the analysis reveals a growing academic interest in the intersection of AI and music education. The results indicate that AI enables students to develop musical skills more quickly and effectively, improving motivation and autonomy. Furthermore, scientific literature underscores the importance of AI in facilitating music theory learning, conducting sound experiments, and promoting collaboration among musicians, even remotely.
