ABSTRACT:

The research analyzes phase one of applying Collective Impact methodology as a means of organizing and coordinating key stakeholders in child protection sector in the Republic of Moldova. Conducted within the master’s program in sociology in Chișinău in 2022, the study aims to assess the effectiveness of the methodology in improving interventions and addressing challenges in the field of child rights protection. Through an analysis of the theoretical and methodological framework, the study identifies functional aspects, good practices and constraints in the countrywide implementation of collective impact initiative. By exploring the first stage of this methodology in efforts to further reform the childcare system in Moldova, the research provides insights for planning subsequent stages.
Results highlight the scientific originality of using Collective Impact in Moldova, as there has been no previous empirical or theoretical study of the approach. Contextualization of this collaborative approach to continue childcare sector reform is described in this study, which is the first of its kind conducted in the Republic of Moldova and in Romanian language.
Leaders planning to implement the methodology may find the results of the study useful for practical application of collective impact collaboratives in comparable contexts. For implementing agencies or groups, the recommendations for introducing the technique and initial interactions with key stakeholders are also beneficial.
