Developing an Interactive Digital Book Model for Anti-Corruption Education for Prospective Teachers
Didin Saripudin
ABSTRACT:
This study highlights the necessity of instilling anti-corruption values in prospective social studies teachers, including honesty, empathy, independence, discipline, responsibility, hard work, simplicity, courage, and fairness. To address this need, we developed an interactive digital book for anti-corruption education tailored for these future educators. The study utilized a Research and Development design, involving students and lecturers from the Social Studies Education Study Program at the Indonesia University of Education. Data was collected through interviews, observations, focus group discussions (FGD), and questionnaires. The findings revealed that the interactive digital book effectively addressed cognitive, affective, and psychomotor aspects of education. The development process of the book draft involved three stages: outlining the book, creating the Anti-Corruption Education content, and designing the digital book using Canva. The validation results indicated that the interactive digital book was well-received at the university level. Furthermore, limited trials with university students showed a substantial improvement in their understanding of anti-corruption principles and values. In conclusion, the interactive digital book proves to be an effective tool for fostering anti-corruption character values in students.
