Evaluating Academic Performance of Students in the Philippines Based on Educational Strands
Marlon D. Hernandez, Jason C. Santos
ABSTRACT:
The Philippines had introduced the k-12 academic system, which allowed students in senior high school to pursue the preferred academic track, allowing them to be hired even if they were unable to attend college. The experimental group in the study was the Graded Weighted Average of students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the first to fourth year. The study’s goal is to determine whether there is a substantial difference between the academic track that students pursue and their success in business courses. For data cleansing, data imputation, data removal, and elimination were also utilized. For each level and the aggregated dataset, single-factor ANOVA was employed. The pooled dataset reveals a substantial difference between the aligned and non-aligned SHS academic programs, with a p-value of 3.63E-10
