ABSTRACT:

In this article the topic of Artificial Intelligence (AI) as a teaching and learning topic for the field of the Digital Humanities (DH) is defined and examined in more detail. For this purpose, current and potential areas of the application of AI topics in DH degree programs are scanned. This analysis of AI-related topics in DH courses in Europe will first show how these are currently being addressed and differentiated in university teaching. It will then be shown which of these topics are suitable for prospective integration into DH curricula. The results as well as the current and potential AI topics presented are finally categorized and converted into a compact overview with fields of application and example scenarios for their integration into teaching. This can be a possible help for teachers and content developers who want to sharpen and implement their own ideas for AI-related teaching topics and thus contribute to the further development of the content of DH teaching modules.
