Five-Point Strategy to Enhance the Learning Environment for International Students

ABSTRACT:
Education providers who aspire to provide quality education to International Students (IS) face many challenges. Strategies to deal with some of these profound challenges shape policy decisions-decisions that may have very real consequences. Therefore, education providers need to follow well-crafted strategies to deal with these challenges and enhance the learning environment for IS. This paper proposes a five-point strategy to acknowledge, communicate, plan, implement, and monitor to assist education providers in making inclusive strategies to improve the learning environment and provide quality education to IS. An extensive literature review drives the proposed strategy through word cloud, thematic analysis, and the authors’ years of experience teaching and dealing with IS.
