About the Book

The rapidly evolving situation surrounding the coronavirus (COVID-19) is impacting all aspects of human life across the world including the working practices and human resource management (HRM).

Remote working has been used for the first time by many organizations, while working practices seem to become more flexible in the future. Shorter working hours, teleworking, public transportation, changing travel policies, interview arrangements for hiring, canceling global meetings and internal events, splitting employees, and many other measures to mitigate the business and work disruption were applied as solutions.

In this regard, the impacts of the Covid-19 pandemic on working practices, the well-being of the staff and HRM in general and specific contexts have to be explored and analyzed in detail.

The present Open Access book aims to shed a light on some of the challenges and implications of the COVID-19 for human resource management (HRM) by addressing questions like What could HR teams do to handle the situation in the companies and workplaces? What would be the strategies to retain high performing personnel? What kind of programs could be adopted to secure the well-being of the employees while driving engagement and resilience in the workforce?

The impacts of the pandemic on Equal Employment Opportunity, Strategic HR Management, and Planning, Human Resource Planning, Recruiting and Labor Markets, Training and HR Development, Employee Relations, HR Skills, Talent Management, Performance Management, and Appraisal, Employee Benefits, Risk Management and Worker Protection, Employee Rights and Responsibilities and other relevant subjects will be covered by the Open Access book.

ISBN: 978-1-8381524-4-4
