Intricate link between war and human nature
Dr. Sanlut Nengneithem Haokip
ABSTRACT:
There have been many instances where ‘hatred’ has come to conceptualized war and wrong intention reproduced unjust practices in war. The article claims that there is an intricate link between human nature and war and does so by expounding their relationship in the works of prominent thinkers like Sigmund Freud, St. Augustine, Thomas Hobbes and Edmund Husserl. The paper’s engagement with subversive side of human nature indeed affirms that there is an intricate link between human nature and war. Thus, crises in the internal orientation inadvertently contributes to the causes of war.
