Relations Between Economics, Culture and Technology: In Search of Connecting Elements and Dependencies

Aleksandra Berkowicz

ABSTRACT:

Socio-economic development is driven by three dominant forces: economics, culture, and technology. In common perception, these areas are often dichotomous to each other and relatively separate. For example, economists themselves usually avoid the concept of culture, although the mutual relations between economics and culture are also the subject of research by scientists. The question that arises in the context of these considerations is: What criteria should further social development be subordinated to? Are there conceptual categories that combine economics, culture, and technology? If so, what? The presentation aims to identify elements common to economics, culture, and technology.
