The Ethical Values and Corporate Social Responsibly: Public Service Evidence

ABSTRACT:
At present, the public sector values and the Corporate social responsibility (CSR) represent significant topics for institutions and decision-makers going in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to attain the economic, social and environmental purposes. A detailed literature review demonstrated that a few numbers of research were devoted to study the developing countries especially for the public sector in Egypt. The research methodology of this paper embedded a qualitative analysis by means of documentary research method for Telecom Egypt, the communication public sector leading corporation in Egypt. This research paper investigated Telecom Egypt’s significant values for an ethical public service in addition to its commitment strategy implemented for the corporate social responsibility (SCR). The research concluded that Telecom Egypt held responsible toward the Egyptian community with a strong ethical organizational culture where the most important ethical values of the public sector are predominating. Moreover, Telecom Egypt succeeded to implement a proactive strategy where a strong leadership in social initiatives are existing with the aim to attain its commitments toward the corporate social responsibility purposes. An action plan and a practical public policy for the communication public sector in Egypt were proposed at the end of this research paper on order to reach the sustainable development goals in the country.
