Xiongyi Liu, Lih-Ching C. Wang, Qian Wu
ABSTRACT:
Technology has become increasingly popular in educational fields since it is constantly evolving and offering new functions. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of using technology of American high school Chinese Language Learners (CLLs) on their Chinese proficiency. Twenty-eight students from 9th grade participated in this study. These students have learned Chinese for one semester, and they have the same curriculum and use the same textbook to learn the Chinese language. They all took the pre-test and the post-test. Results of these tests indicate that using technology to learn Chinese has significant positive effects on students’ Chinese proficiency.
