Past, Current and Future Trends in Sovereign Wealth Fund Investments

ABSTRACT:
Sovereign Wealth Funds (SWF) are defined as the state own funds and are generated through different resource of states, including infrastructure sectors. Therefore, these assets are purely owned and controlled by government of the country and are used for the advancement and prosperity of country. The abstraction of SWF is not neoteric, but recent economic failures of first world countries have boasted it like never before. This paper shed light on the recent trends that are analyzed in the markets specifically when the SWFs are invested in the domain of infrastructure. This paper get down to brass tacks the disparate data sets related to the investments and gains achieved during the last decade of SWFs investments. The other aspects that are analyzed in this paper includes: 1. market trends along with the different transparency policies 2. diversified revenue streams, 3. long-term trends that will shape the future of SWF investments . Various reports in this context based on the SWF investments in different sectors are presented in order to elucidate the SWF investment trends. The other facet of SWFs based on the challenges faced by different governments is highlighted in order to explicate the outright mechanism of SWF investments.
