ABSTRACT:

The Satisfaction with Life Scale (SWLS) is one of the best-known scales for the measurement of subjective well-being across the globe, but no adapted version exists for use among Azerbaijan population. The present study reports on the translation of SWLS to Azeri language and examines its psychometric properties in a sample of 374 participants from Azerbaijan. Results showed that the Azeri SWLS had good internal consistency (Cronbach’s a = 0.81). Confirmatory factor analysis showed it has a single factorial structure. These results suggest that the Azeri version of the SWLS is a valid instrument to use among different Azerbaijan samples.
