Five Reasons Why Thirukural Is Still Relevant

ABSTRACT: 

The purpose of the paper is to highlight the relevance of Thirukural which is considered as a Classic in leadership treatise even today.  The paper is an attempt juxtaposing Kurals and modern management practices and drawing analogies between them.  The paper deep dives into five selective Kurals chosen from a set of thirty Kurals that specifically focus on learning, ignorance and knowledge.  Kurals, with their aesthetic approach, when read and aligned to modern management principles will help one become a better leadership professional.  The paper is exploratory and descriptive in nature and akin to a book review.
