Empowering Women in the UAE, A Study in The Light of Islamic Jurisprudence

ABSTRACT: 

This research aims to reveal aspects of women’s empowerment in the United Arab Emirates. The research was done by explaining the importance of empowering women and its positive effects and studying the manifestations of women’s empowerment in the UAE in various fields and clarifying their features and dimensions. It has been studied through five aspects: First: Defining the concept of women’s empowerment. The second: is the importance of empowering women and the positive effects that they have. The third: is the manifestations of women’s empowerment in the Emirates, and the fourth: is the role of wise leadership and women’s associations in empowering Emirati women. Fifth: Examples of Emirati women’s successes.One of the most important results is that Emirati women have been able to build on the achievements made in the UAE, maintain the sustainability of those achievements and gains, and continue to build their capabilities to ensure the expansion of their development participation. And that the UAE sought to preserve the social fabric and its cohesion by integrating roles between men and women and building a strong and cohesive society capable of coping with emerging changes. The process of empowering women in the United Arab Emirates has also contributed to providing the basics of a decent and secure life and social welfare with high-quality foundations for women.
