ABSTRACT:

Much research shows significant disparities between majority and minority groups in academic achievement. Research on these disparities is particularly important in order to help promote minority groups in terms of socio-economic status. The present study focused on these questions among a group of 100 students from the majority group and 100 students from the minority group in Israel and examined these disparities in academic achievement and level of religiosity. Findings indicate the role of the level of religiosity in academic achievements.

Keywords: majority and minority groups, academic achievement, religiosity.
