Afsheen Zeeshan
ABSTRACT:
E-waste management has been recognized as the growing concern for the nations because it’s dangerous components are causing harmful impacts for human health and world’s ecosystems. Rapid technological developments and socio-economic advancements are driving this trend at very fast pace. Developing countries are facing the problems associated with the increasing volume of e-waste and lack of the capabilities for effective formulation and implementation of e-waste management policies and use of advanced recycling technologies. This study helps to understand the environmental repercussions of e-waste management mechanisms and methods to deal with these challenges on the basis of evidence gathered from the developed and developing countries. It is contributing to the e-waste literature by providing an eco-friendly policy framework to protect the environment with the help of suitable e-waste management practices. Single tool cannot be used to solve the issue whereas numerous tools complement each other in this process.
