Acceleration of Digital Transformation of Education and its Impact on Economic Growth during COVID 19: A comparative study

ABSTRACT:
Due to globalization, communication technology and digitalization are essential for any economy. Technology has been a motive for learning and teaching that provide new opportunities through transferring knowledge, creating new skills, converting the face to face interaction into a digital learning, which refers to digital education.
Education can increase the human capital of the labour force that can enhance the labour productivity and economic growth so education act as an essential driving force for innovation and economic growth in any society.
Digital transformation became an essential trend during the pandemic, as it forced schools, universities and educational systems to engage in such transformation. As COVID-19 led to lockdown of most schools, universities all over the world so education systems were converted to become completely virtual.
The purpose of this study is to analyze how digital technologies are being used to face pandemics, to analyze the impact of online learning in different universities on the economic growth, challenges that should be taken into consideration in this field and raise the question of how universities should prepare for digitalization.
